# Pulse 2.0 (On-Device Change Intelligence)

Pulse 2.0 keeps you informed of material changes across your vault. Instead of generating repeated generic note summaries, Pulse tracks personalized **per-lens baselines** to report actual deltas: *What changed since you last looked, why it matters, and what you should consider doing.*

## Core Signal Engine

Pulse processes signals deterministically on your device:
- **Decision Updates**: Alerts for new, modified, superseded, or detached decisions in **Strata**.
- **Overdue Commitments**: Resurfaces commitments with passed target dates or missing owners.
- **Source Note Changes**: Highlights note edits that impact active confirmed decisions.
- **Decision Tensions**: Detects conflicting statements across newly added notes.
- **Unprocessed Inbox Captures**: Reminds you of unprocessed web clips, ENEX imports, or meeting transcripts.
- **Trust Lifecycle**: Separately ranks fingerprint changes, overdue trust reviews, and Draft knowledge awaiting review.

## Personalized Pulse Lenses

Select specialized lenses to focus your intelligence briefing:
1. Open **Pulse** from the main navigation.
2. Choose a lens (e.g. *Executive Brief*, *Project Health*, *Decision Review*, *Research Radar*).
3. Pulse compares current vault state against your last baseline for that lens, rendering only relevant deltas.

## "Why This Is Here" Source Links

Every signal item displays explicit provenance:
- Click **Why this is here** to expand the supporting signal factors and scoring criteria.
- Click any source link to open the exact note block, transcript timestamp, or decision record.

## Scheduled Briefings & Action Integration

- **Scheduled Briefings**: Premium and above users can enable scheduled background briefings on desktop and PWA.
- **Forge Action Handoff**: Turn any Pulse signal into a previewable Forge action with one click (e.g. schedule a follow-up, update a decision, or export a task).
